I have a 2005 pw 80 having problems with spark. It has none, I have changed the coil with AMR coil and put a new CDI box, I have also put an extra ground on it. So the only thing left is a stator.
I have worked on truck alot but not bikes. So is this some thing that I should try or take to a dealer?

No, dealer is not needed. Just pull the stator cover on the left side of motor. You will see the flywheel, take off the nut in the middle of the fly wheel. Some cases you might have to have a flywheel puller, if you have a harmonic balancer puller or some form of a puller you might get lucky to pull it off they are on their pretty good. Then when you get the flywheel off their is the stator and stator coil. Just put the new one on and rewire. Just be sure you don't loose the stator key off the crank.

It was very easy! I did need a puller, I bought one for less than 20 buck shipped. Once I got it off I was not sure if it was bad or not. The in side of the fly wheel was covered in dirt almost 1/4 inch thick, But I change it any way. Thanks for the help!
