Hi all,
Just picked up 2002 PW50 (beat up pit bike) so I'm restoring and replacing a fair parts on it. I have quite a bit of riding experience with 2 strokes but not so much mechanical stuff. The previous owner said he always used the oil injector system and just poured gas in the fuel tank and never had issues. Hence, never bypassed oil injector so all good. My question is, once I start using throttle regulator (super slow so my little one can ride like 5 mph) and having the plate restrictor gasket in the exhaust, will I start causing issues with the oil/gas mixture? I know with 2 strokes, they liked to be revved out and cleared frequently or they will bog down and foul spark plugs.
I'm wondering if it would be better during the time using the two speed inhibiting components that I should just mix my own oil/gas like 40:1 or something lean to avoid this problem?
Anyone else have experience or suggestions? Thanks!
