Loosen the 2 bolts that hold the exhaust to the cyl. Remove the bolt that holds the pipe on the bike. May also want to remove the silencer/spark arestor. With the 2 bolts @ the head loose you can slide the pipe off. There is a restrictor(large washer w/smaller hole) in the pipe/head junction.

thanks for advice ,washer not there !! i think maybe this is more complicated than a restrictor as it wont pull my three yr old which it should even with the restrictor in.

perhaps the centrifugal clutch needs new shoes, if it wont "grab" under load.

If the clutch is slipping the engine will build revs, but the bike won't move - like it is in "neutral".

Did you get any more info on this? I am running into something simlar. The bike won't start with out a push but once you get it moving it takes off!! Even with TH stop it is too fast once it gets going. Maybe we can help each other?

If the bike starts ok but feels sluggish and "out of breath" when you try to take off, it might be the exhaust system and spark arrestor that is more ore less clogged by carbon build-up. It's a tough job to get it out. I've heard about people that have put the exhaust on the barbeque for a few hours. Then pound it with a hammer. Might worth a try. Perhaps some paint stripping acid bath would work.
