hi new to the forum, names steve. so i picked up an 87 pw a few weeks ago, and just bought a 93 parts bike. all the shocks are shot on the 87, so i will be installing the shocks from the 93 which are good. heres the problem: i wanna remove the springs from the rear shocks, sand off the hot pink paint (lol) and paint the springs red, and reinstall.
questions: can the springs be removed?
if so how is it done?
and would they need to be rebuilt if taken apart when thay are still good now?
thanks in advance...also when i am done getting the bike how i want it i will have almost a complete spare bike(minus final drive and front fender) that i will be offering to sell parts from.
