Hi I have just bought a 2011 pw50 seemed fine when I started it on colection. Its that new the tyres still have the rubber strands. When I start it on choke its seems okay. let warm up and switch off choke its not very happy it cuts out and only starts with choke when hot. We managed to drive it (in run) with choke off and it somtimes dies when throttle wide open. Its getting fuel. I took of the air box and carb looks clear. One thing I noticed when throttle is shut off the slider gap in the carb is about 5mm. Is this normal dont want to go messingwith it as its so new it cannot be to serious. I took out plug and it had bit of oil on but the tip is dry enough.... pls help

Well no one answered my post ..... But I thought about what was happening . When warm choke off won't run but will run when choke back on... Not enough fuel to idle. I stripped the carb and the normal jet was fine . The pilot or idle jet seem to have a spec down in it and I shock the whole carb and it seem to fall out. I did not try to remove the pilot jet as I was afraid te screw driver would pack what I thought was dirt down into the tiny jet hole. When it seemed clear (with a squint as its a very small hole)I then removed the pilot jet with a good fitting screw driver. Too small or too big you may damage the jet. I passed a plastic fiber through both jet holes . Anything metal you may damage the jet hole. ( If you have carburetor cleaner give it a blast everywhere.)Then I Put it all back together . Drained and cleaned the tank and filled with fresh petrol. It started and ran like a dream. when warm idles fine . Put on choke it dies as normal due too much fuel. Took the pw50 out and cleared a 40 foot double I hope my post helps anyone at some stage all the best and keep her lit !
