Hi guys,
I have recently bought my son a newish PW50 and it takes a good 20-30 kicks to get the thing started from cold. I turn the choke and fuel on and give the throttle a bit of a twist whilst kicking, just like I used to on my CR250 back in the day. Once the bike has started, it kicks up first kick after it has warmed up. It might be down to our crappy British weather, I don't know, but anyone else have this problem or know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance ;D
Paul.

are you putting the switch to the on position? try with a little less or no throttle, you could also check the plug

Yeah I put the switch to 'start' every time I kick start the bike. When we first bought it, we kept it in the house for the first few days until we secured our garage properly, and it kicked first time evry time in the house (we just started it then swiitched it off, couldn't resist it ;D) so I'm guessing it must be something to do with the cold weather. I might need to change the jets or something? I'll try it without any throttle next time out and see how it goes

Just wanted to update this and the problem was the choke cable was broken. Once I replaced the cable, the bike starts first kick..YAY!
