How would I go about switching to pre mix on a 1998 pw 50. I assume you would plug the oil inj. line from the pump and also plug @ the carb.. Also what ratio would be good? 50:1

To run premix you can block the oil feed pipe to the carb with a ball bearing. You can remove a gear that drives the oil pump if you want to be thourogh. I think the normal ratio is 35:1 but double check this.

I completely removed the injector pump, installed the block off plate and capped the injector line on the carb. We have had great success running 40:1 premix using AMSOIL Dominator 2stroke oil. The oil burns out clean and doesn't leave excessive carbon build up in the head pipe.

***Another note on this too, when we did this we also went with a single line twist throttle.

we went 36:1 on my son's newfound glory, 1997 PW50 for $100 bucks USD.
Nothing but good luck so far.
