I have a project pw80 im working on and want to convert the rear footbrake to a left hand handbrake. Has anyone done this? I need a cable at least 55 inches end to end. The one end needs the regular "barrel" lever end. As far as the other end anything will work because i can easily fab something to work. Anyone have any ideas of where i can get this cable or anything (dirtbike, streetbike, 4 wheeler) that might use a cable similar?

. Have a look online for companies that supply aftermarket clutch cables. (Clutch cables are generally longer than brake cables from my experience.) I reckon if you contacted them with your requirements they'd be able to make something up for you. Here's one I just found a few seconds ago ... motorcycleproducts.co.uk/catalogue/clutch-cables-c-228_269.htmlMotion-Pro make cables as well, as do other companies. Other than that you could try your local bike wrecker. They are usually pretty helpful. Good luck!

Well i managed to get a temporary solution working using a bicycle brake cable but i don't want to leave that thin cable on there long. I've looked at a motion pro custom cable and just might have to go that route. I was hoping on picking up a cable cheap on e-bay but they never list the length, and the sellers are not getting back to me when I ask for a measurement.
