i just got a used pw50 its yellow so im guessing eary 80s. but i am haveing problems getting it to run right
someone has taken off the oil pump so i put 32:1 premix in it
i cleaned out the carb it all seems to be in working order
it has no air filter i dont know if that will make a big differance or not
it will crank up and run just has no power, i have to push my 4 year old to get it going any help would be good
it seems to help sometimes when i switch from start to run but only for a few seconds

Better get an air filter installed before the motor is ruined. Perhaps it is already shot, and that is why it has no power.
Or else the little "restrictor plate" is installed. Pull off the pipe and check for what looks like a simple washer where the pipe attaches to the cylinder.
The other issue is if the centrifugal clutch has problems. If it will rev, but not go anywhere, then that can be a clutch problem (worn shoes)
PW's were only Yellow in '81 through '84. H, J, K, or L letter designations will be found in the serial number on the frame. I have an '82 PW50J.
32:1 premix is fine.
