hi my pw sparks but it doesnt seem bright enough to start the bike. it wont even try to start. i would like to know if there is a way of testing the coil or cdi's? also is there a wiring diagram i can download anywhere? thanks.. HELP NEEDED!!

i bought a new coil with ht lead and spark plug of ebay for around $50, it might be worth taking a chance and buying one.
Also it might be the timing, you need a dial gauge to check this.
Fitting a new coil takes 2mins and requires no mechanical experience.
This coil i bought was a HIGH ENERGY IGNITION COIL YAMAHA MJ50 TOWNY PW50 from Datwot (the name of the online store). This is not oem standard but claims to be better, i dont know about that but it certainly works well.

Also buy a Clymer manual it tells you how to test all this

looked up how to test the cdi and there is no test you can run you have to test everything else and if it all worked ok replace the cdi.
The clymer manual will give you all the tests for the magnetos and coil.
