OK, it is a 98 model. NEW top end with new crank bearings. Oil cut off plate. Pod air filter on the carb. New reed as well. Carburetor has also been gone through and is spotless. It won't start. It wants to, but nothing even with starting fluid. Has spark. I hear timing is set and cannot be adjusted? It looks as if some or all of the electrical components have been replaced with parts from this web site or somewhere else? If the stator was replaced and put on wrong (out of time) it will need to be adjusted correct? How to do/check that? Not sure what else can be wrong. I'm trying to fix this for someone's kid for Christmas present. Thanks scottj714 at hot mail com.
