Hi guys, looks like just the site I need! ;D I'm looking to restore my first dirt bike as a sort of resto mod to have as a pit bike at trackdays and kart tracks, but still want to keep it looking similar to the old school. Would like to keep the all white look with new plastics, but it looks like they mostly come with black tanks (understandably). The best I can tell on a vin check is that it is an '87 A little background on the bike. My dad was really big into racing when I came to be, and had to quit to get a more stable job. In the middle of pre-k I got a 3-wheeler which was a blast, and then in kindergarten we were allowed to dig in the back of a shop of a fellow racer from back in the day and found a non running yzinger in need of some help. So the old man picked it up, got it cleaned, gave it an intense one over and I ended up racing for a few years. After getting out we never got rid of the bike and it was ridden at christmas/easter with the family and then back to the garage to sit. Now about 18 years later I really want to restore it and get it running right again. Here's some pics of what I'm working with and my air conditioned work area haha

What I'm looking to do: Big bars New forks w/ stiffer springs. Or respring current? Beefier triple New rear shocks w/ stiffer springs. Or respring current? Powdercoat rims gold again Powdercoat frame New exhaust if I can't get the stocker looking good Numerous little things (spark plug cap, new hardware, etc..) So has anyone here done a big bar setup on a pw, or at least have a source on some info. I keep finding 1-2" risers but I'm looking to put on a whole new bar like is being done with the stunt crf50's. Looks like It will need some sort of a clamp system as right now the bars are just bolted to the top triple Also does anyone know of where to go to get some heavier duty suspension components? It's going to have adults harassing it, so I need something that will hold up better than the squishy stock stuff. The only lead I have on this from google is the Cannon RaceCraft fork tube kit and have them put the stiffest spring on it. Thanks for any help and suggestions!

A new question to add to the pile. Will a CRF50 front end swap onto the PW relatively painlessly and reuse the PW rim? So many of these front ends available with lots of aftermarket support
