Hello, I just picked up a 1983 PW80. I can get it to start, but it will not idle, and runs better with the choke on.
It has a new carb but I took it apart & cleaned it and the jets.
It has a #15 pilot jet, is this correct?
I still had the same problem so I took the ignition cover off to take a look at the crankshaft seal. I noticed that I could easily rotate the engine by hand with the flywheel so I did a compression test. I got a max of 75psi and was thinking over 100 was needed.
Would this low compression be a reason for the problems I'm having or should I pull the flywheel & stator to check the crank seal?

it should definitely be MUCH MUCH HIGHER. not sure about a stock motor, but my heavily modded pdub is pinging around 165 psi.
